Engagement Methods
GniYes! provides a number of ways that we can provide development services to our clients.The following is a quick overview of the engagement methods we typically use:
- Project - In this case the client will provide us with the functional specifications for the project and we provide a quote based on the work required. This gives the client the assurance of a fixed price and time to deliver. We assign a Project Manager who would manage the project and is the primary interface to ensure good communication and that the project schedule is maintained
- Time and Material - With this method the client may not have detailed specs but need a programmer with specific skills who the client’s IT department would direct via IM, email and phone. The project manager will assist in getting this started and the client works closely with a offshore based development manager and the developer to direct his work.
- Dedicated Developer - If the client has an ongoing need for development services this is the most cost effective solution. A developer(s) that works with the client enough to understand the specific needs and preferences. He becomes like a remote member of the clients staff. In the past many of our clients have used a trial project and then when they were satisfied with the performance of the developer went to the dedicated developer mode. The project manager will assist in getting the dedicated developer started and make sure good communication is established. The dedicated developer is the lowest price option for our development services because it requires less US overhead.
- On Site Staff - We also can provide on site staff as needed. For this service we charge US rates but it can be very valuable for short periods or when starting a large project to have a team lead or senior developer on site.
